С тържествена официална церемония днес столичното летище бе преименувано и вече официално носи името „Васил Левски“ – в чест на Апостола на свободата и неговия непреходен идеал за „чиста и свята република“.

На церемонията присъстваха представители на правителството, институции, дипломатически корпус и обществени личности. Вицепремиерът и министър на транспорта Гроздан Караджов откри събитието с вдъхновяващи думи:
„За мен е изключителна чест да открия това събитие. Ние се събрахме, за да отбележим поставянето на името на Васил Левски на най-голямата въздушна врата на България. Един символ на всяка кауза, на всеки полет. Ние искаме всеки български гражданин и всеки гост, когато идва на летището, да си спомня за идеала на Левски за чиста и свята република. Нека си спомним думите му: ‘Нека и ние да бъдем равни пред останалите европейски народи’. България постига, лека по-лека, но постига идеала на Левски.“
Решението за преименуване бе взето след обществено обсъждане и одобрено от Министерския съвет. С името на Левски, Летище София – вече Летище „Васил Левски“ – ще посреща и изпраща милиони пътници от цял свят със символа на българския дух, свобода и национално достойнство.

When I originally left a comment I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me from that service? Thanks a lot!
