Сигналът е подаден малко след като тялото на младежа било забелязано във водата. Въпреки предприетите опити за спасяване, животът му не е успял да бъде спасен.
Тялото е транспортирано за аутопсия. По случая е образувано досъдебно производство, като разследващите органи изясняват обстоятелствата около трагедията.
Само ден по-рано румънска туристка изгуби живота си след удавяне в морето край курорта „Слънчев бряг“, което поставя отново на дневен ред въпроса за безопасността и спазването на предупредителните сигнали на плажовете.
