Бившият депутат от ПП ГЕРБ и дългогодишен лидер на структурата на партията в Банско Александър Мацурев е новият директор на ДАИ – Благоевград. Той ще встъпи официално в длъжност утре, заемайки поста на досегашния шеф Борис Ханджийски.

Назначението идва след месеци на вътрешнопартийни обсъждания и търсене на управленска позиция за Мацурев, който въпреки многократните си опити да се завърне в парламента, не успя да спечели депутатски мандат. Въпреки това той запази влияние в структурите на ГЕРБ в региона.
С новото назначение ГЕРБ укрепва позициите си в Благоевградска област, където партията вече разполага с областен управител, заместник-областен управител, както и съветник в Министерския съвет. Допълнително тежест дават и бившите народни представители, които получиха ключови постове в държавната администрация.
Предстои Мацурев да докаже дали ще успее да оправдае доверието на партията и да наложи ефективен контрол върху дейността на Изпълнителна агенция „Автомобилна администрация“ в региона, където проблемите с корупция и злоупотреби с лицензи от години са сред най-чувствителните теми.
